Role of Inventory Taking Application with Barcode Scanning in Improving the Accuracy Result in One of Hospital Pharmacy Installation during the COVID-19 Pandemic Condition

The internal control activity for drug supplies is one of the most important managerial activities for the hospital. One of these activities is inventory taking. The inventory taking activity during a pandemic is a challenge for hospital management. The results of a preliminary study at the Graha Sehat Medika Hospital showed that the results of the inventory taking in the last 6 months were inaccurate by 40% -70%. The solution taken is the use of the application "SO PINTAR RS" with barcode scanning. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the application "SO PINTAR RS" with barcode scanning in improving the accuracy of the results of the inventory taking at the Graha Sehat Medika Hospital. The method used in this research is a quasi experimental method. The data used are primary data resulting from inventory taking activities. Results analysis was carried out through nonparametric statistical tests with the Wilcoxon test. The results showed that there were significant differences in the results of recording inventory taking activities before and after using the application "SO PINTAR RS" (sig. .000). The difference between the results of the calculation of inventory taking and the data on the SIM RS decreased significantly. The use of this application is still separate from the SIM RS, so it is necessary to merge the results to the RS SIM manually.
